Much as I would love to retrofit a modern dress, or actually get a proper Regency one made for me, I fear I haven’t the time or resources to do that before this particular party. I do, however, have a lovely ensemble, which looks roughly a hundred years too late for your period, but which is too fun not wear. So. I shall be the person at the party who’s misjudged the settings on her time machine.

I am delighted that you will be able to attend. You might want to check out my post on dressing for the Regency on a budget. Not that anyone is required to dress in costume, but if you want to give it a try there are ways.
