My story, Rampion, is up at the First Line, if you’d care to take a listen.

Wow, you can both read and write! And both quite well, I might add. ‘Rithmatic? Nice work, and congratulations.

    Nice job Mary.
One question though. Why did you go with the detached non-emotional read for this story? Personally I like the reader to be more expressive, especially when it’s the author and especially when she is such a good actor to boot. Just a different choice I suppose.
Good work on the story and the recording sounded much better than the first, wow! Way too many popped P’s. Another plus to marrying a recording engineer.
Congratulations on your continuing march to writerdom! It seems to be in your sites.

Are those of you who are from there amused by how those of us who are not from there pronounce Williamette?

Minister: Ask anyone who knows me, I am dreadful at ‘rithmatic. Really, really bad. I’m close to being completely innumerate.

Sam: Ouch! I thought I was doing an emotionally invested narrator. I must not be as good an actor as you think.

Dad: Yes. We get a big kick out of it. I thought about sending Robin a pronuciation guide afterwords, but I’ll save it for the next time.
