In regard to the Ted K blog post about pain I will.
relate this story.
Once in a military hospital I met a woman who described similar mysterious pain in her gut. Doctors determined she had an episodic ‘kink’ in her intestines which caused unpredictable bouts full of terror for her. The medics were able to determine this only by examination DURING an attack. Subsequent surgery to remove the offending section of the intestine & restored her to normal, healthy life.
