I nearly forgot to tell you that the house moved! Thank heavens. My parents must be so relieved.

I told your mother “Our worries are over.” In jest of course. We climbed up in the house this morning and no chinking fell out during the move. There was a floor lamp in the living room that we forgot to take out and it was still standing. They jacked it up to the proper elevation and leveled the floors although the bottom of the lower layer of logs is 4 inches out so the foundation will have to be layed out of level by 4″ to keep the floors level.
Blink. I stared at the photos, and it took me a while to understand what was going on. Sounds like the whole operation, although complicated, went well though.
How thrilling it must be to reach destination/foundation after that challenging journey cross country. The effort you both put into the salvation and preservation of that cherished family home will surely be rewarded in future. Best wishes for more happy landings!
