Glamour is the term I use for magic in this version of Regency England. Since it is considered a womanly art I used textile terms, like fold, to refer to the way glamour is used. If you think of glamour as if someone were able to take a sunbeam and fold it like cloth, it’s sort of like that.

Such an intriguing first chapter! After seeing the fantastic review that was linked on A Dribble of Ink, I pre-ordered it for my Kindle, and after reading the first chapter, I’m glad I did!

Alas. I wish that was something I had any control over. I suspect, since the hardcover is available that eventually the Kindle ebook will be as well. Although Amazon has odd rules.

Thanks for a lovely first chapter – I really enjoyed it!

Unfortunately, it seems I won’t be able to read the rest of the book. The reason? I went to Amazon to preorder it on Kindle, but there appears to be geographic restrictions on it. Thus, not available to purchase for readers outside the US (or at least not in my geography)…

I am aware that this has to do with publishing rights – all I can do is encourage you to get your publisher to work on getting these things sorted. It’s very frustrating as a reader in these electronic global days!

Just finished your first chapter, and now I’ve got another book to add to my ‘must read next’ pile. Thank you for the sample as I don’t think I’d have been tempted without it. I love the stories of Jane Austen but I’ve never managed to finish one of her books. I think the addition of magic to a old fashioned and well-mannered story is just what it needs and I really enjoyed the way you’ve written it.

yes nicely designed. IM Fell is the titling font i believe. its always fun to use 17-19th century original source material to mimic in new books set in those centuries. adds an additional level of detail. i have both your books ready for purchase in my cart for august.
