I forgot to mention that we got the modeling shots back. As a tease, I’ll let our parents know that we’ve sent a photo off to Hawaii and Tennessee, but I won’t post a copy of it.

Here’s a couple to tide you over.

Today I helped sand, prime and paint one side of the Willamette Star. Tomorrow we’ll do the other side. It was fairly tedious, but the folks I was working with were nice.

I have a lovely sunburn. I brought a long-sleeve coverall for the painting, so I didn’t think I’d need sunscreen. But if I wanted to use that for protection I should have worn it during the sanding portion of the day.

I go back for more tomorrow.
