His flight was delayed, but he has arrived safe and sound. We’re having quite a bit of snow tonight; there was none this morning and now everything is covered. I’m on will-notify tomorrow, which means that I might have most of the day off.
My brother, Steve, gets in at 10:40 tonight. I’m starting to wonder if I’ll be able to pick him up at the airport. I should have told him to bring a good book, because we’ll be hanging out at the studio a lot tomorrow. Still haven’t worked yet today. I have, however, written another chapter in my novel.

We weren’t called in until eleven o’clock today. It’s now 6:30 and we’ve done nothing. I think Þor did some work with Ziggy earlier, but the rest of us are twiddling our thumbs. On the plus side this gave me time to drop my laundry off at the cleaners. I normally do my own laundry but this past Sunday my washer developed a short that turned off all the electricity in my building. My landlady is in Bulgaria so I can’t get it fixed until she comes back. I need clean clothes.

Sarah had to run to a doctor’s appointment last night and asked if I could do Trixie while she was gone. Of course I said yes. The kids were all just supposed to run through the screen, so it should have been very easy. Naturally, that changed. Trixie was the first character into frame, and so Magnus added a line. “Hey, Mayor.” Then I had to run her directly at the camera, just missing it by passing on its left.
That went fine until–Hauk, who is filming behind the scenes footage, decided to plant himself with a camera right in my path. Because of the nature of the shot, I didn’t see him until I got there, and had to do a funny little dance to keep from tripping. Trixie looked spastic.
Magnus was going to buy the take, but I asked him if I could do it again. He almost let it pass, looked at it again and agreed with me that it needed to be redone. He said, “I know what the problem is, you need to–”
I actually interupted him and said, “The problem is that Hauk was on the floor. I tripped.” He laughed, “That is a problem,” and then proceeded to give me advice anyway. The next take was good. Whew.
